MY STORY
I learned the power of journalism at age 16, when a teacher at my Toronto high school introduced me to Ms. magazine. In its pages, I saw all the ways great stories could change people's lives — by calling out bad policy, by shining a light on communities, by explaining the world around us. I knew I'd found my calling.
In the 20 years since, I've been a reporter and editor at Ms., where a cover story I wrote prompted the FBI to change its ancient definition of "forcible rape," and I've led teams at HuffPost, HelloGiggles, and Business Insider.
My work has covered a huge range of subjects: weddings and relationships; personal finance; politics and policy; health and wellness; travel; and more — always through an intersectional lens, and always with the goal to be of service. That's what it's all about.
